Sony Offers Ellie Skin Incentive for PC Players to Sign Into PSN for The Last of Us 2 Remastered

Sony has unveiled the PC specifications for *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* ahead of its eagerly anticipated release on April 3. Alongside the PC specs, Sony announced enticing PSN sign-in incentives and revealed new content for the No Return Mode, available on both PC and PlayStation 5.

In a detailed post on the PlayStation Blog, developer Naughty Dog highlighted the features that support studios Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy have integrated into the PC version. This release comes a year after the initial launch on the PlayStation 5, promising to enhance the gaming experience on PC.

The PC version also supports Ultrawide monitors, allowing gameplay in 21:9 ultra-wide, 32:9 super ultra-wide, and even 48:9 resolutions, with compatibility for triple-monitor setups. Players can enjoy the game in 4K resolution, with support for various controllers as well as keyboard and mouse controls. Additionally, the game features 3D audio for an immersive experience.

Keyboard and mouse controls come with extensive customization options, including full control remapping, primary and secondary bindings, and an adaptive mode that allows players to combine keyboard and controller inputs. DualSense controllers offer full haptic feedback, enhancing the tactile feel of the game.

"The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC offers a wide range of graphics settings and presets, to ensure the best possible experience on hardware ranging from high-end PCs to handheld gaming devices," Sony stated.

No Return Mode Updates:

Sony also introduced two new characters to No Return mode: Bill and Marlene from *The Last of Us Part I*. Bill adopts a "Smuggler" playstyle with access to a custom pump shotgun and double rewards from drops, while being stronger against melee attacks but unable to dodge. Marlene, on the other hand, follows a "Risk Taker" playstyle, equipped with a Custom Assault Rifle and unique "All or Nothing" gambits, with the ability to reroute her path once per run.

Four new maps are set to join No Return mode: Overlook, School, Streets, and Nest. Each map brings unique settings and challenges, from the verticality of Overlook in Seattle to the eerie atmosphere of the abandoned School and the overgrown Streets of Hillcrest.

All the new content for No Return, including new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch, Sony confirmed.

In line with Sony's recent changes to PlayStation Network requirements, *The Last of Us 2 Remastered* on PC includes an optional PSN log-in. Logging in to PSN grants players access to PlayStation overlay and PSN Trophies, as well as 50 in-game points to unlock bonus features and a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun's jacket from Naughty Dog's upcoming PS5 game, *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*.

PS5 players can also unlock Jordan's jacket skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.

Earlier this month, Neil Druckmann, the director of *The Last of Us*, shared insights on *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet* in an interview with Alex Garland, the writer of *28 Days Later*. Druckmann revealed that the game, which has been in development for four years, explores themes of faith and religion in an alternate historical timeline, with Tati Gabrielle starring as Jordan A. Mun.

The PC release of *The Last of Us Part II Remastered* coincides with the anticipation for Season 2 of HBO's TV adaptation, with showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin confirming the return of spores in the upcoming season.
