Heroes of the Storm: Brawl Mode Returns!
The beloved Heroes Brawl is back, reimagined as Brawl Mode! This exciting update brings back dozens of previously unavailable maps, offering unique challenges and fresh gameplay experiences. Available now on the Public Test Realm (PTR), Brawl Mode is set for official release within a month.
Originally launched in 2016 as Arena Mode, Heroes Brawl offered weekly rotating game modes with unique map layouts, objectives, and rulesets. From all-Nova sniper duels to action-packed Arena versions of existing battlefields, the variety kept players engaged. However, due to the popularity of single-lane maps and maintenance challenges, it was replaced by ARAM in 2020.
Now, Brawl Mode makes a triumphant return, boasting bi-weekly rotations (1st and 15th of each month) and rewarding players with a special chest after completing three matches. The number of rewards per Brawl remains to be seen, but with a vast library of past Brawls, players can anticipate many favorites returning.
The PTR currently features Snow Brawl, a festive kickoff to the new mode. Given the PTR's three-week duration, Brawl Mode's official launch is likely slated for early February. This coincides perfectly with the upcoming 10-year anniversary of Heroes of the Storm (June 2nd, 2025), making it a fitting celebratory addition.
This revival is a major win for the Heroes of the Storm community, sparking renewed hope for the game's future.
