These adjustments address issues such as assists, shooting, goalkeeping, and defending, aiming to create a smoother, more balanced experience. Specific improvements include addressing overly frequent defender catches, enhancing attacking fluidity, reducing AI reverse tackles and interceptions, nerfing the effectiveness of crosses, improving support play from players in familiar roles, refining offside detection, and subtly improving shot accuracy from outside the penalty area in straightforward situations.
The game's initial reception was overwhelmingly negative, with only 36% positive player reviews out of 474 at launch. This negative sentiment stems from perceived corporate greed, numerous bugs and crashes, and difficulties in controller recognition, particularly with PlayStation controllers. Furthermore, its anti-cheat measures render the game incompatible with the Steam Deck.
