WoW: Midnight Unveils Adaptive Homes Feature

By JulianApr 04,2025

Blizzard has unveiled exciting details about the upcoming in-game housing system set to debut in World of Warcraft: Midnight. Although the expansion is slated for release post-The War Within, as part of the Worldsoul saga, the early previews indicate that the level of customization will surpass many players' expectations.

A developer blog recently showcased in-game videos demonstrating the furniture placement mechanics. The system utilizes a grid for item alignment with an automatic snapping feature, making it easy for players to arrange their space. Moreover, players can enhance larger items such as shelves or tables by adding smaller accessories that remain attached even when repositioned.

The housing system offers two distinct modes: a Basic Mode for easy organization and an Advanced Mode tailored for creative builders. In Advanced Mode, players have the freedom to rotate objects across all three axes and stack them innovatively, allowing for the creation of intricate and visually appealing interiors.

A notable feature is the ability to scale objects, catering to the diverse sizes of characters. This means gnomes can craft snug, cozy spaces, while larger races like tauren can design more expansive layouts. Additionally, certain furniture pieces designed specifically for the housing system will allow for recoloring, although this feature may not be available for legacy assets.

With World of Warcraft: Midnight still months away, Blizzard is keeping the community engaged and eager by continuously teasing upcoming content and updates.
