Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Gets Extra 24 Hours After PSN Outage

By GabrielMar 21,2025

Capcom has extended the Monster Hunter Wilds beta following a 24-hour PlayStation Network outage that disrupted the previous test. The PSN outage, occurring around 3 pm PT on Friday, February 7th, lasted approximately 24 hours. Sony attributed the disruption to an "operational issue," compensating PlayStation Plus subscribers with an additional five days of service.

This outage impacted online gameplay, including single-player titles requiring server authentication. Monster Hunter Wilds' highly anticipated second beta, scheduled from Thursday, February 6th to Sunday, February 9th, was significantly affected. In response, Capcom announced a 24-hour extension to the next beta session.

The revised beta schedule is as follows:

February 13th, 7 pm PT / February 14th, 3 am GMT – February 17th, 6:59 pm PT / February 18th, 2:59 am GMT

Capcom confirmed that participation bonuses, also available in the full game, remain accessible during this extended period.

Despite the previous week's downtime, beta participants experienced Monster Hunter Wilds' challenging new adversary, Arkveld.

Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For further details on Capcom's latest hunting adventure, explore our IGN First coverage, including the Monster Hunter Wilds Final Preview.
