Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Won't Let the Unforgiveable Happen

By BrooklynDec 30,2024

MachineGames, the creators of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, have confirmed that players won't be able to harm dogs in the upcoming game. This decision marks a significant departure from the studio's previous work, such as the Wolfenstein series, which featured violent encounters with animals.

A Dog-Loving Indiana Jones

Creative Director Jens Andersson explained to IGN that the decision stems from Indiana Jones's character and the game's overall tone: "Indiana Jones is a dog person," he stated. While the game retains the action-adventure spirit of the franchise, the developers are prioritizing a more family-friendly experience. Dogs will appear, but interactions will avoid causing them harm; instead, Indy will focus on scaring them away. Andersson emphasized the importance of aligning the game's design with the franchise's family-friendly image.
