Elliot Page's Pageboy Productions to Adapt Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls into a TV Series

Elliot Page, the original star of Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls, is spearheading a television adaptation of the acclaimed PlayStation adventure game. Page's production company, Pageboy Productions, has secured the rights from Quantic Dream, according to Deadline. The project, currently in early development, aims to retain the game's signature non-linear narrative structure. Further details regarding casting and release dates remain undisclosed.

Page expressed to Deadline that filming the original game was a profoundly impactful experience, stating it was "one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences" of his career. He emphasized the game's "rich narrative and emotional depth," promising a unique television adaptation that will resonate with both existing fans and new audiences.

Matt Jordan Smitt, head of development and production at Pageboy, highlighted the team's commitment to honoring the game's legacy while incorporating fresh perspectives. He underscored the importance of exploring themes of survival and the profound impact of pivotal decisions.

Originally released for PlayStation 3 in 2013, Beyond: Two Souls later saw releases on PlayStation 4 (2015) and PC (2019). Directed and written by David Cage, the game centers on Jodie Holmes, a young woman with psychic abilities and her connection to a spirit named Aiden. The game's compelling narrative, featuring a non-linear structure and a star-studded cast including Page and Willem Dafoe, garnered significant praise.

David Cage confirmed his collaboration with Page on the television series, although the specifics of his involvement remain unannounced.
