It appears that Grand Theft Auto V is set to make its way back to PlayStation Plus soon.
Although Rockstar Games and Sony have not yet officially confirmed the news, Dealabs' billbil-kun has once again provided an early look at the upcoming additions to the PlayStation Plus catalog, indicating that GTA 5 will become available on November 18 for all subscribers of PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers. (Unfortunately, Essential tier members won't be able to play it.)
This certainly isn't the first time Rockstar's blockbuster title has been included in the PS Plus library, but it does mark a year-long return where players can enjoy GTA 5 at no additional cost through their subscription.
With GTA 5 having sold an impressive 220 million copies globally, it is difficult to imagine many gamers haven't experienced it at least once. However, if you have somehow avoided playing it so far, now might be the perfect opportunity to see what everyone has been raving about. As we previously noted, GTA 5 was "preposterously enjoyable, breathtaking in scope, and bitingly funny," earning a score of 10/10.
Remember, you have until December 1 to claim November's free monthly titles: Stray, EA Sports WRC 24, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator.
For those catching up, yes, Grand Theft Auto VI has been pushed back to November 19, 2026. This update was announced yesterday, November 6, by Rockstar as part of parent company Take-Two's second-quarter earnings report. In a statement shared with IGN, Take-Two explained that the delay allows "the team some additional time to finish the game with the high level of polish players expect and deserve." They added, "Rockstar has our full support, of course, and we are confident they will deliver an unrivalled blockbuster entertainment experience."
GTA 6 was initially slated for a fall 2025 release, a timeline CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed confidence in, despite rumors of potential delays. The game was subsequently tentatively moved to May 2026, with Rockstar citing the need for extra time "to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve." Now, it has been delayed once more. Discover why some fans believe this additional wait could actually be a positive development.
