Metro Quester: Osaka Pre-Registrations Now Open on Android

In April, KEMCO introduced Metro Quester, a dungeon crawler and hack-and-slash RPG. Now, they are preparing to launch its sequel, Metro Quester | Osaka. As the name suggests, Osaka has replaced Tokyo as the new post-apocalyptic setting.

Ready for a new adventure?

The action shifts to Osaka, often referred to as the city of water. You’ll explore a transformed Japanese city, now a labyrinth filled with breakable walls, creature nests, hidden vaults, and food caches. To progress, you’ll need to collect Purification Fuel and gather enough food to survive.

Metro Quester | Osaka features 32 unique characters and 8 distinct classes, including Detonator, Buddhist, Professor, Stealer, Scientist, Mobile Police, Officer, and Ranger.

Battles break away from the typical turn-based format. You can stack up to three actions per turn, provided you have sufficient Action Points. However, enemies can do the same and even overlap turns. Managing your Hate value is crucial, as it determines which monsters will target you next.

Outside of combat, you can search for equipment dropped by enemies or discovered in vaults. Once acquired, you can choose to upgrade, modify, or dismantle the gear for parts.

Metro Quester | Osaka introduces a bestiary packed with bizarre and dangerous creatures, such as Beyond Inedible, Bloodsucker Bat, Viral Towering Roundleaf, Thorn Comber, Outburst Shroom, Abnormal Antlion, Caustic Flesh Wall, and Scavenger Mawshroom.

What’s new in Metro Quester | Osaka?

This sequel adds new features, including a canoe for navigating the city’s waterways and a fresh group of questers. You’ll also uncover a prequel map that offers insights into Osaka’s history before it became a dungeon.

Additionally, players can now select their starting party, enhancing replayability alongside the existing NEW GAME+ mode. The game supports English and Japanese languages, but controller support is not available.

Pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store. It is scheduled to release on July 31st, 2025.
