After two failed launches and months of anticipation, Rune Slayer has finally hit the market, and it's nothing short of spectacular. Whether you're new to MMORPGs or a seasoned veteran, diving into Rune Slayer can be an exhilarating experience. Rune Slayer Beginner Tips

Here are essential tips we wish we had known from the start to make your journey smoother:

Do Not Randomly Attack Other Players

When we first heard about Rune Slayer's full-loot PvP system, we feared it might devolve into a chaotic bloodbath. However, our concerns were largely unfounded. In Rune Slayer, you don't lose anything upon death, even if it's at the hands of another player. You simply respawn and continue your adventure.

However, there's a catch: attacking other players earns you a bounty. The more players you kill, the higher your bounty grows, and the higher your bounty, the more items you'll drop if you're defeated. Essentially, engaging in PvP can turn the game into a full-loot scenario, but only if you initiate the conflict and are subsequently defeated.

Our advice? Avoid attacking other players unless you have a compelling reason or a group to back you up. It's not worth the risk of losing your hard-earned gear.

Craft Bags ASAP

You'll quickly discover that both your bank and inventory spaces are limited. With only 50 slots in your inventory, it's easy to run out of space. To address this, the game allows you to craft bags. You can equip up to two bags at once, starting with the Cotton Bag.

To craft a Cotton Bag, collect Cotton from north of Wayshire and Flax from the south. Be cautious in the south, as it's filled with dangerous mobs. Each Cotton Bag adds an extra 10 slots to your inventory, so prioritize crafting these as soon as possible.

Your Pets Don’t Actually Die

There's a common misunderstanding that your tamed pets die permanently when their health reaches zero. This isn't true. When a pet "dies," it simply can't be summoned for 5 minutes. You can check the cooldown by holding T. Once the cooldown is over, hold T again to summon your pet back.

Bonus Tip: To quickly heal your pet, store and unstore it at the stable master. You have one free slot, so make use of it.

Grab All the Quests (Yes, All of Them)

Rune Slayer is packed with quests, most of which are non-repeatable and often forgettable. They typically follow the familiar "Kill 10 X" format seen in many MMORPGs. To streamline your questing experience, accept every quest you encounter, including those from the Job board. Completing multiple quests simultaneously is more efficient, and you might even find yourself completing several at once without realizing it.

Craft Everything at Least Once (Even Things You Don’t Need)

While it's important to craft what you need first, if you have spare materials, craft items even if you don't immediately need them. Crafting new items often unlocks more advanced crafting recipes. For instance, smelting your first Iron Ore can unlock a range of new Iron Armor crafts. Don't hoard your materials—use them to expand your crafting capabilities.

Join a Guild

Rune Slayer is designed to be solo-friendly, but as you delve deeper into the game, you'll encounter more challenging enemies. Some of these, particularly those with large health bars, are meant to be tackled in groups. The easiest way to find a group is by joining a guild. Whether you shout in the general chat or use the official Rune Slayer Discord server, finding a guild can significantly enhance your gameplay experience.
