KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Concludes Service After 3.5 Years

For the third consecutive day, I'm documenting another game's end-of-service—this time for KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global. January 30th marks its final operational day as servers prepare to go dark. What comes next?

How Long Did This Title Survive?

Developed by Sumzap and initially published by Nexon before transitioning to Sesisoft, this was genuinely enjoyable. However, the game's "fantastic days" proved fleeting.

The global servers lasted 3.5 years—half a decade in Japan—which stands as respectable lifespan for an anime gacha title, particularly amid declining revenues.

With developers shifting focus to Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade, they maintained content until the end: voiced story updates concluded recently, including a final song release mere weeks ago.

December's farewell livestream featured Kazuma's voice actor, while the Japanese version preserved its entire main story on YouTube—allowing fans indefinite access to Kazuma’s misadventures with Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness.

An offline version also launched in Japan archives story content, voicelines, and collectibles—a luxury unavailable globally. International players can only revisit memories through Japan’s YouTube channel.

This concludes our KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global shutdown report. For related coverage, explore our upcoming Pokémon Go February Community Day analysis featuring Karrablast and Shelmet.
