Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment dives into the world of the Hyrule Warriors franchise once again, this time focusing on characters from the ancient history sections of Tears of the Kingdom. Expect to see Zelda teaming up with the last remaining Zonai, Rauru, his sister Mineru, and his wife Sonia, as they combat Ganondorf and his forces. The game sheds light on Zelda's activities during her time-travel journey in Tears of the Kingdom, offering a fresh narrative perspective.

The trailer showcased the unique abilities of these champions, including Mineru piloting a mech, Zelda's enchanting magic, Rauru wielding a distinctive sword-spear, and brief glimpses of other Secret Stone wielders in action.

This marks the third entry in the Hyrule Warriors series, following the original Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which served as a prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Age of Calamity was particularly notable for its creative storytelling that slightly deviated from the expected path, earning it a 9/10 rating from us. We praised it as "a joy to play and discover" and "a blast from start to finish."
