Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered offers a thrilling blend of action-packed gameplay and extensive customization options for weapons and outfits. Whether you're sneaking past machines or engaging in intense combat, you can tailor your gear to suit your playstyle. However, there are times when you might wish to combine the benefits of multiple outfits. Fortunately, with the remastered version, you can achieve this, albeit with certain limitations. Let's dive into how you can make the most of this feature.

Remastered Version Of Horizon Zero Dawn Required

To enjoy the unique ability to utilize the effects of two outfits simultaneously, you must have the Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered version. This feature was introduced through a recent patch that added the transmog functionality, allowing you to retain the stats and effects of one outfit while showcasing the appearance of another. This means you no longer need to compromise on style for the sake of stats.

Pre-Requisite For The Two Outfit Method

To harness the power of two outfits, there are specific prerequisites to consider. Not all outfits are compatible with this method. While you can choose any outfit for your primary stats, the secondary outfit must be one of these three:

  • Banuk Werak Runner
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (only available in New Game Plus)

These outfits are exclusive to the Frozen Wilds DLC area, which you can access without completing the base game.

How To Get Banuk Werak Outfits In Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

Banuk Werak Runner

Start your journey by venturing into the expansion area after defeating the new machine. If you find this challenging, consider lowering the difficulty or upgrading your gear. Once in the area, find a Bluegleam Merchant, identified by a blue icon, and purchase the Banuk Werak Runner outfit.

Banuk Werak Chieftain & Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept

For the superior Banuk Werak Chieftain outfit, you must complete the "For the Werak" quest, the third main quest in the Frozen Wilds DLC. Equip your best gear for this challenging mission, or opt for Story mode to unlock the outfit more easily. The Adept version is available only in New Game Plus, using the same acquisition method.

Once you have the second outfit, you're ready to proceed. You don't need to continue with the rest of the Frozen Wilds content if you choose not to.

What To Do To Get the Effects Of Two Outfits

Start by equipping your preferred outfit, focusing on the stats you desire. Remember, you can enhance these stats with Weaves. After selecting your ideal first outfit, use the transmog feature to overlay the appearance of one of the three Banuk Werak outfits. While these outfits don't add to your stats, they offer a valuable auto-healing perk after taking damage.

This technique allows you to maintain the stats of your chosen outfit while benefiting from the auto-healing feature of the Banuk Werak outfits. If your primary outfit is the Shield Weaver, you become nearly invincible, as you rarely take damage. When you do, the healing perk of the Banuk Werak outfits activates, providing quick recovery.

The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept outfits have a faster healing perk activation compared to the Banuk Werak Runner, making them the preferred choice if available.
