Goat Simulator Series Is Getting a Card Game, Coming Later This Year

None of us probably expected to hear this, but the world of Goat Simulator is expanding into a new realm—card games! Yes, I'm eager to see how this game will turn out, and it's slated to hit the stores later this year.

Coffee Stain North, the creative force behind the original Goat Simulator, has teamed up with MOOD Publishing to bring us Goat Simulator: The Card Game. MOOD Publishing is no stranger to transforming beloved video games into tabletop experiences, having previously developed titles like Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game.

What Else Do We Know About Goat Simulator: The Card Game?

As of now, details are scarce, but we do know that it will support 2-6 players, immersing them in a battle of goat-driven mayhem. The game promises to encapsulate all the absurdity that fans love about the franchise, now in a delightful, card-filled box.

Goat Simulator: The Card Game will be a physical card game launching on Kickstarter later this year. If you've ever launched a goat into oblivion in the video game, you can probably imagine the wild energy this card game will bring to the table.

Santiago Ferrero, the Creative Director at Coffee Stain North, had a hilariously apt comment on the upcoming game: "Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That’s why we’ve partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead! You’ve seen goats on your screen; now it’s time to bring them to your table."

Who Knew Goat Simulation Would Become a Genre in Itself?

What began as an April Fool’s joke in 2014 has turned into a cultural phenomenon. From PCs and consoles to the Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Apple Arcade, Goat Simulator has maintained its relevance over the years.

Now, with Goat Simulator 3 continuing the absurd legacy of its predecessor, the series is branching out into card games. Until the card game's release, you can enjoy the Goat Simulator games on the Google Play Store.
