Earlier this year, Square Enix launched FFIX's anniversary site, immediately sparking remake discussions among fans. These rumors gained further momentum when the developer shared a nostalgic tweet featuring Vivi's iconic quote.

The recent update showcases four of the eight main protagonists through interactive icons on the website. Clicking these reveals character summaries accompanied by brand-new artwork from FFIX's original character designer Toshiyuki Itahana, known for his work on Crystal Chronicles and Chocobo spinoffs.

While Square Enix hasn't made any official announcements, the substantial investment in anniversary content suggests significant developments may be coming. Fans eagerly await further updates regarding a potential remake.

The 25th anniversary celebration now includes an expanded lineup of collectibles. New additions feature Garnet's signature necklace, a wearable version of Vivi's hat, acrylic character stands, and more exclusive items.

Available for pre-order, Garnet's Sterling Silver Necklace ships November 15 at ¥38,500 (approximately $260). Meanwhile, Vivi's wearable hat releases September 6 for ¥17,600 (around $120).

The Acrylic Stand Collection offers eight different character designs sold as blind boxes, ensuring collectors experience surprise reveals with each purchase.
