Farlight 84 Rebrands with Global Mobile Relaunch

Get ready for a massive change in Farlight 84, set for a global rebirth on August 7th. First released in 2023, the game is undergoing a comprehensive overhaul in its next update, marking its most significant evolution to date.

Farlight Games has poured over six years of development and more than $140 million into the Farlight 84 revival. Read on to discover all the new features and improvements coming to the game.

The Farlight 84 Relaunch is a Complete Game Transformation!

This update introduces a first-person mode to the experience. Until now, gameplay was limited to a third-person perspective. The new viewpoint is complemented by enhanced visuals and more responsive controls.

Then there's the Buddy System, Farlight 84's unique feature that blends creature collection with combat. It has been entirely redesigned in this new version.

Buddy System 2.0 now features additional Buddies and a special tier known as Super Buddies. They provide active assistance during matches with various perks, such as pilfering equipment or altering the terrain.

The new map, Nextara, is designed to fully leverage the existing parkour combat mechanics. Movement has always been a core component, and now you can continuously sprint, vault, and climb across a more vertically oriented battlefield.

A new hero, Kui Dou, joins the fight, adding another layer of tactics to the 60-player battles. A suite of new and refined weapons, along with updated loadout systems, enables hundreds of unique combat configurations.

There are also some delightfully absurd additions. The Rat Cannon, for instance, lets you launch yourself across the entire map. Yes, it's every bit as outrageous as it sounds.
