Fake Elden Ring Nightreign Test Invitations Circulated by Scammers

By CarterMar 29,2025

Bandai Namco has started sending out emails to verify participation in the closed testing phase of *Elden Ring: Nightreign*, scheduled from February 14 to February 17, 2025. These lucky players will be among the first to dive into the game, which is designed with a thrilling three-person cooperative mode in mind, as detailed in the letter.

Given the immense popularity of *Nightreign*, it's no surprise that scammers are taking advantage of the hype by circulating fake testing invitations. Some players have reported receiving emails that mimic official Bandai Namco notifications, purporting to invite them to the testing phase. These fraudulent emails often contain links to counterfeit websites that closely resemble Steam.

These scam sites prompt users to log in, resulting in the loss of access to their accounts. In some instances, players have even received similar deceptive messages from their own friends. Fortunately, some victims have successfully regained access to their accounts by reaching out to Steam support.

It's crucial to exercise caution with any links you receive and to always verify the authenticity of the sources. If you're unsure, it's best to stick to official channels and avoid clicking on suspicious links.

In other news, *Elden Ring: Nightreign* will not feature the traditional messaging system found in other FromSoftware games. Project director Junya Ishizaki explained this decision in an interview, stating that the approximately forty-minute-long gaming sessions in *Nightreign* do not provide enough time for players to leave or check messages. As a result, the messaging feature has been disabled to ensure a more focused and seamless gaming experience.
