Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test Sign-Ups Open Tomorrow

Summary

  • The signups for the first Elden Ring Nightreign network test will open on January 10.
  • The upcoming beta will be limited to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
  • The first Elden Ring Nightreign network test is scheduled to take place sometime in February 2025.

The registrations for the first Elden Ring Nightreign network test are set to open tomorrow, January 10. However, there's a significant limitation: the upcoming test will be exclusive to less than half of Elden Ring Nightreign's target platforms.

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco unveiled Elden Ring Nightreign at The Game Awards 2024 in December. This eagerly anticipated title promises a co-op Soulsborne experience in The Lands Between, designed primarily for three-player parties. Elden Ring Nightreign is slated for a 2025 release.

As is typical with multiplayer games, Elden Ring Nightreign will undergo at least one network test before its launch. Signups for this limited-time beta open on Friday, January 10. Starting that day, interested fans can register for the test through the official website. These betas often have a limited number of spots, although neither FromSoftware nor Bandai Namco have disclosed the number of testers to be accepted. It's possible that this information might not be shared at all.

How To Sign Up For Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test

  1. Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website from January 10 onward.
  2. Register for the test while indicating your preferred platform.
  3. Wait for an email confirming your enrollment in the test.
  4. Participate in the test in February 2025.

Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test Is Limited to Only 2 Platforms

Those fortunate enough to be selected will receive a confirmation email no later than February 2025, when the test is planned to occur. Specific dates for the beta are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. However, the test will only be available on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Since the game is also slated for release on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, this test effectively covers less than half of its intended platforms. FromSoftware has confirmed that Elden Ring Nightreign won't feature cross-platform multiplayer, meaning participants will be limited to playing with others within the same console ecosystem.

While it has yet to be officially confirmed, players should not expect any progress made during the network test to carry over to the full game. FromSoftware has not clarified whether Elden Ring Nightreign will see additional betas in the future, though this remains a possibility.

In addition to the lack of cross-platform multiplayer, another network limitation is the party size. Elden Ring Nightreign will support solo play or parties of three, as FromSoftware has opted not to balance the game for duos. It's currently unclear if the upcoming network test will introduce any further gameplay restrictions.
