Best Shovel and Detector Combo in Desert Detectors

The undisputed champions of Desert Detectors are the Pharaoh Shovel and Pharaoh Detector. Their superior stats are complemented by incredibly valuable passive abilities, especially the Pharaoh Detector's. You'll find both at the Pyramids. From the spawn point, check your compass and head west.

Getting Cursed Treasures With Pharoh Detector

The Pharaoh Detector unlocks access to Cursed Treasures, although finding them isn't guaranteed. Its 5% chance means you might need to dig quite a bit. However, the payoff is substantial: Cursed Treasures sell for much more than regular ones (e.g., a Cursed Chest is worth 12,500 Sheckles compared to a regular chest's 500 Sheckles). Aim for Rainbow Spots for the most valuable finds.
How to Farm Sheckles for Pharoh Detector and Shovel

The Pharaoh Detector and Shovel's high price (2,000,000 Sheckles for the Detector and 575,000 Sheckles for the Shovel) reflects their effectiveness. To earn this, focus on Rainbow, Red, and Yellow spots, particularly around the Pyramids and the plains behind them. These areas contain higher-value treasures.
While there's no foolproof method, prioritize Rainbow Spots. Once you find one, others might be nearby, so thoroughly check the surrounding area.
After unearthing these treasures, consider smelting them at the Blacksmith. This upgrades them to Polished, Shiny, or Gold variants, significantly increasing their selling price.
How to Smelt Found Treasures

Find the Blacksmith Building in Dusthaven (your spawn area). Inside, you'll find the NPC smelter. Select the treasures you want to upgrade (Sphynx, Fighting Jett, Pharaoh's Pillar, or Submarine are recommended for their high value). Smelting takes 4-12 hours, depending on the treasure's rarity, and continues even while you're offline.
