The much-anticipated Days Gone Remastered is just around the corner, and Sony's Bend Studio recently unveiled several accessibility enhancements coming to this upgraded version - including adjustable game speed controls for intense moments.
During a PlayStation Blog update, Bend Studio's Creative & Product Lead Kevin McAllister详细介绍了几项重点辅助功能。Players can now dynamically adjust gameplay speed across four settings (100%, 75%, 50%, or 25%), designed specifically to support gamers who experience difficulties during high-stakes scenarios.
"The game speed adjustment proves invaluable when confronting overwhelming situations," McAllister explained. "Whether struggling with input commands during frantic horde battles or navigating our new Horde Assault mode, this feature makes our signature swarm combat more inclusive."
Additional accessibility upgrades include customizable subtitle colors, High Contrast Mode settings, UI narration support, and auditory collectible indicators. Notably, the auto-complete QTE function - originally restricted to Easy mode - will now be available across all difficulty levels from Easy through Survival II.
While launching with the Remastered edition, Bend confirmed most accessibility features will also patch into the existing PC version. Certain controller-dependent enhancements like haptic feedback customization will require compatible hardware.
Announced this February, Days Gone Remastered brings substantive improvements including an advanced photo mode, permadeath challenges, speedrunning tools alongside its accessibility suite. This polished version of the 2019 motorcycle-zombie epic nears its release window.
Days Gone Remastered accelerates onto PlayStation 5 and PC on April 25, 2025, with a $10 upgrade path available for existing PS4 owners.
