- CrazyGames launches its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week - The 10-day developer competition runs in collaboration with Photon - Participants can win cash prizes and premium Photon licenses

From April 25th through May 5th, CrazyGames partners with Photon to host the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 – a 10-day global game development challenge open to independent developers.

By working with Photon, the industry-leading multiplayer service provider, the jam specifically focuses on creating innovative web-based multiplayer games. Developers will compete for €10,000 in total prize money and valuable Photon licenses, including:

  • 500 CCU with Circle Starter for one year (worth €7,500)
  • 500 CCU for one year (worth €1,500)
  • 100 CCU for one year (worth €100)

The only strict requirements are that games must be developed during the jam period and meet PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers enjoy complete creative freedom!

Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 announcement

Since its 2014 launch, CrazyGames has become the most popular free online gaming platform, using HTML5, JavaScript and WebGL technologies to deliver seamless browser-based gaming across thousands of titles. During the event, both CrazyGames and Photon will provide support, with winning games earning potential publication on the CrazyGames platform.

A pre-jam livestream on YouTube and LinkedIn will occur April 24th at 4pm CEST, showcasing two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Regarding these platforms, Photon Engine's Head of Growth Mark Val commented: "Photon has powered multiplayer WebGL for over ten years, and our new Fusion and Quantum examples simplify creating high-performance multiplayer games. We predict a WebGL game will rank among the world's top 20 most-visited websites within a year—the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 offers the perfect opportunity to innovate on this platform."

Registration for Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to developers at all skill levels. Visit the official jam page for details and registration.
