Excitement builds as Monster Hunter Wilds gears up for its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that spur players into a race for the fastest clear times. However, Capcom is setting a firm stance against cheating, ensuring a level playing field for all. In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom has clearly stated its policy: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."
Capcom is also cautioning players about the risks of multiplayer hunts with cheaters. Not only could this lead to an invalid quest completion time, but it might also result in the revocation of rewards for the entire party. The company advises, "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such," and encourages players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests.
The new quests promise enticing rewards, including cosmetic pendants, some of which will be available to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This makes Capcom's stringent measures against cheating understandable, as they aim to maintain the integrity of the rewards and completion times.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, starting with Title Update 1. To participate, players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub. Be sure to head straight there once the update goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds.
