Call of Duty: Mobile Season 5 Launches Zoo Map, NieR Event

Call of Duty: Mobile launches its much-anticipated Season 5, "Primal Reckoning," on May 28, 2025, at 5 PM PT. This update delivers a thrilling mix of content, blending futuristic dystopian themes with a surprising zoo setting and a major crossover with NieR: Automata.

The Iconic Zoo Map Arrives on Mobile

This fan-favorite map from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops has been expertly adapted for mobile combat. It’s a medium-sized arena featuring decaying animal habitats, deserted souvenir shops, and an elevated monorail track that cuts directly through the center.

In the Battle Royale mode, new Buy Stations are being deployed across the Isolated map. Collect cash by looting and defeating other Operators, then spend it to acquire essential gear like armor plates, Perks, and Scorestreaks. For those seeking more powerful options, legendary items such as the Purifier flamethrower are also available for purchase.

A new Battle Pass debuts with a range of Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, and themed cosmetics. You can now customize your Combat Axe and Smoke Grenade with fresh visual designs. Submachine gun enthusiasts will be pleased to see the VMP added to the arsenal, a weapon expected to make an impact in both Multiplayer and Battle Royale.

The NieR: Automata Crossover Steals the Show

This special NieR: Automata event places you in command of the YorHa Unit to battle hostile Machine Lifeforms. The event plays out as a branching narrative campaign. Complete various objectives to earn Action Points, which allow you to unlock new paths, reach key checkpoints, and collect powerful Skill Chips.

Players can obtain the Kui Ji – YoRHa No. 9 Type S operator skin and four distinct melee weapons inspired by NieR. Future draws will also feature the Kestrel – YoRHa No. 2 Type B and Fiona St. George – Commander White operator skins.
