Bam Margera has been confirmed to be included in the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, despite initially being left off the list of returning skaters. This news was shared by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
Bagley revealed that Tony Hawk personally intervened to ensure Margera's inclusion, despite the game being "already done." Hawk's request to Activision was initially denied, but the skateboarding legend persisted until Margera was added to the roster.IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.
Bam Margera, known for his role in the Jackass franchise, has faced well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, which led to multiple rehab visits and his dismissal from Jackass Forever. Additionally, Margera was involved in a legal dispute with Jackass director Jeff Tremaine, who obtained a restraining order against him following alleged threats.
The inclusion of Margera in the game was hinted at by a recent video shared by both Margera and Hawk, showcasing them skateboarding together, which sparked initial speculation about his return.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is set to launch on July 11, 2025, across multiple platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is being developed by Iron Galaxy and has overcome challenges, including being nearly canceled due to the merger of previous developer Vicarious Visions with Blizzard.
