Applin Debuts in Pokémon GO: Sweet Discoveries Await!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for a treat with the upcoming Sweet Discoveries event, where the adorable Applin makes its grand debut. This event is a golden opportunity for those passionate about collecting new Pokémon and hunting for those elusive shinies. Let's dive into all the details you need to know about this exciting event.

When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

Mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. This is when you'll have your first chance to encounter Applin, a unique Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. For Appletun, the requirements are the same number of candies but with 20 Sweet Apples. And for its final evolution into Dipplin, and ultimately Hydrapple, you'll need to follow the evolution chain carefully.

The Apples are crucial for evolution, and you can find them in the wild. When you tap on them, you might discover a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering these Apples increase when using Mossy Lure Modules.

Did You Know?

Applin is a fascinating Pokémon that spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself from bird Pokémon, its natural enemies. It's one of the cutest additions to the Pokémon GO roster, and you won't want to miss out on adding it to your collection.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can also snag new avatar items from the in-game shop, including the Applin Headband and Applin Apron. Plus, there's a sweet bonus of 2× Candy for catching Pokémon throughout the event, helping you gather those essential Applin Candies even faster.

Keep an eye out for Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet, as they'll have increased spawn rates in the wild. Additionally, there's a higher chance of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs. Another delightful feature is that catching Delibird or Skwovet will reward you with berries, enhancing your gameplay experience.
