Application Description
Tarneeb is a card game played by two teams, each consisting of two players sitting opposite each other. The game uses a standard 52-card deck, and play proceeds counter-clockwise. Each player attempts to predict the number of "Allmat" (tricks) their team will win in a given round.
The player who wins the bid to declare "Tarneeb" throws a type of paper onto the floor. Other players must then throw the same type of paper. The player who successfully matches the "Tarneeb" paper wins the trick. "Tarneeb" papers are superior to other paper types; however, a stronger "Tarneeb" paper can beat a weaker one. The round ends when all players have played.
Points are tallied as follows: A team that successfully achieves or surpasses their bid for "Allmat" wins points equal to the number of "Allmat" they obtained. The opposing team receives no points. If a team fails to meet their bid, the points they bid are deducted from their score, and the number of "Allmat" won by the opposing team is added to their score.
If either team wins 13 tricks without bidding for 13, 16 points are added to their total. If a team bids for and wins 13 tricks, they receive 26 points. If a team bids for 13 tricks and fails, 16 points are deducted.
The game concludes when one team reaches a total score of 41 or more points; that team is declared the winner.
