Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series by letting fans vote on the next official merchandise items! The studio has offered a whopping 100 bizarre and wonderful options, promising to produce the top two vote-getters within the next two years. The poll itself is in Japanese, but voting can be done on the official website.
While some options are more conventional, like anniversary hoodies and pencil cases, many others are delightfully eccentric, drawing inspiration from the series' memorable moments and characters. Fans can choose from items like Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, Majima's infamous traffic cone hiding spot from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants."
Other quirky choices include Majima's sake cup from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.
2025 marks not only the 20th anniversary but also sees the release of Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean (sic) on February 21st. While the studio hasn't announced any other anniversary projects yet, given their prolific output – nine games in the last five years, including Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden, Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, and two Super Monkey Ball games – another release isn't entirely out of the question.
