Enhanced Xbox Game Pass Rewards: New Quests and Point System for PC Users (18+)

Starting January 7th, Xbox Game Pass is significantly upgrading its rewards program, introducing Quests and a revamped point system exclusively for PC users aged 18 and older. This change prioritizes age-appropriate gaming experiences.

Previously limited to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, the new system expands to include PC Game Pass members. Players 18 and over with active Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscriptions can access Quests and the Rewards Hub through their profile. Earning points requires a minimum of 15 minutes of playtime per game, and participation is limited to titles within the Game Pass catalog (excluding those using third-party launchers).

The updated system offers diverse earning opportunities:

  • Daily Play: Earn 10 points daily by playing any Game Pass title for at least 15 minutes.
  • Weekly Streaks: Playing at least five days a week earns points; maintaining a streak increases the point multiplier (2x for two weeks, 3x for three, and 4x for four or more).
  • Monthly Packs: Explore the Game Pass library by playing four (Monthly 4-Pack) or eight (Monthly 8-Pack) different games (15 minutes each) per month. The 4-Pack games count towards the 8-Pack.
  • PC Weekly Bonus: Earn 150 points by playing for at least 15 minutes on five or more days of the week.

The Rewards Hub, accessible via Xbox console, the Windows PC Xbox app, and the mobile Xbox app, will no longer be available to users under 18. Microsoft emphasizes its commitment to age-appropriate content, restricting these new rewards to the 18+ demographic. Younger players can still earn rewards through parental consent and purchases of eligible items from the Microsoft Store.
