Xbox Game Pass January 2025: New Games and Departures
Microsoft has unveiled its first wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and revealing departure dates for others. The January lineup offers a diverse range of games across various genres, catering to different player preferences.
New Arrivals:
Microsoft officially announced seven new games joining the Xbox Game Pass library in January 2025. Road 96, a narrative adventure game, leads the charge, available immediately (January 7th) across all Game Pass tiers. This marks its return to the service after a previous stint. Six other titles follow later in the month:
- January 8th: Lightyear Frontier (Preview), My Time at Sandrock, Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders, Rolling Hills.
- January 14th: UFC 5, Diablo.
It's worth noting that Diablo is exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, while UFC 5 is a Game Pass Ultimate-only title. The remaining additions are accessible with a standard subscription.
Game Pass Ultimate Perks:
Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks launched on January 7th, including weapon charms for Apex Legends and DLC for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.
Departures:
Six games will be leaving the service on January 15th: Common'hood, Escape Academy, Exoprimal, Figment, Insurgency Sandstorm, and Those Who Remain.
