Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and Stellar Additions
Xbox Game Pass is kicking off 2025 with a flurry of new titles, starting with the day-one release of Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders on January 21st. Initially exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, this skiing game offers both co-op and PvP modes, promising exciting multiplayer action. The initial wave of January releases was relatively modest, with several title shifts between subscription tiers rather than significant new additions. However, the second half of the month more than makes up for it.
While the first half of January saw only a few notable additions like Diablo (PC Game Pass) and EA Sports UFC 5 (Ultimate tier), the second half is packed with day-one releases. Following Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, Eternal Strands (January 28th), Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30th), and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31st) will all join the Game Pass Ultimate library.
Of particular note is Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game from Yellow Brick Games, boasting a strong Zelda-like aesthetic and developed by a BioWare veteran. This title, along with the others, will be available at no extra cost to Ultimate subscribers.
The full list of January 2025 Game Pass additions includes:
- Carrion - January 2nd
- Road 96 - January 7th
- Diablo - January 14th
- EA Sports UFC 3 - January 14th
- Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders - January 21st
- Eternal Strands - January 28th
- Sniper Elite: Resistance - January 30th
- Citizen Sleeper 2 - January 31st
Looking ahead to February, the lineup currently appears less robust. While Avowed is confirmed for February 18th (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate), the remainder of the month remains unannounced. For now, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can anticipate a busy January, filled with exciting new titles to enjoy while awaiting further February announcements.
