Wuthering Waves' elemental system has evolved significantly with Version 2.0. While initially serving primarily as character buffs and enemy resistances, elements now feature more direct interactions through Elemental Effects. This guide details these effects and the limited supporting Resonators and Echoes.
Elemental Status Effects and Debuffs:
All six elements possess unique status effects applied via specific elemental attacks. Dodging removes stacks.

| Spectro Frazzle | Stacks reduce periodically, dealing Spectro DMG over time. More stacks = more DMG. |
| Fusion Burst | Stacks up to 10; at 10 stacks, explodes, dealing significant Fusion DMG. |
| Aero Erosion | Deals Aero DMG periodically. Stacks don't deplete to deal DMG; more stacks = more DMG. |
| Electro Flare | Reduces ATK based on stacks (1-4: -5%; 5-9: -7% + Magnetized effect; 10: -10%). |
Resonators, Echoes, and Echo Sets:
Currently, the utilization of Elemental Effects is limited.
Resonators Applying Elemental Effects:
- Spectro Rover: Post-Version 2.0 rework, Spectro Rover uniquely applies Spectro Frazzle (2 stacks) via its Resonating Spin skill. This skill also applies Shimmer, preventing stack decay, allowing for sustained Spectro Frazzle buildup.
Echoes and Echo Sets:
Only one Echo set currently interacts with Elemental Effects, primarily benefiting Spectro Rover:
- Eternal Radiance (Echo Set): 2-piece bonus: +10% Spectro DMG. 5-piece bonus: Spectro Frazzle application increases Crit. Rate by 20% for 15s; 10 stacks grant a 15% Spectro DMG bonus for 15s.
- Nightmare (Echo): Mourning Aix attack deals 273.60% Spectro DMG; DMG increased by 100% against Spectro Frazzle-affected enemies; +12% Spectro DMG bonus for the equipped Resonator.
In summary, while Elemental Effects are a growing mechanic in Wuthering Waves, their current application is primarily focused on Spectro Rover and the Eternal Radiance Echo set. Future updates may expand their integration into the game's overall mechanics.
