Wuthering Waves: Guide to Conquering the Final Knight's Quest

This guide provides a walkthrough for the Honkai: Star Rail side quest, "The Last Knight," in the Rinascita region of Wuthering Waves. While not as grand as the main storyline, it offers a unique perspective on life outside Ragunna City and rewarding completion.

The Last Knight is a relatively straightforward side quest, requiring less time and effort than some others in Wuthering Waves.

Starting the Quest

This quest unlocks after completing Chapter 2 of the main storyline ("What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing"). It's recommended to finish the main questline before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until Chapter 2, Act 3 is complete. Once ready, locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker.

The Night Reveries Performance

This involves a performance about a legendary knight. You must defeat the Mad Knight, who only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. He's not a difficult opponent.

Mimic Chests Challenge

After defeating the Mad Knight, travel to the tallest tower and then to Carlow's location (marked on your map). He's unconscious near a large purple flower. Interacting with the flower transports you to an area with chests. Three initial chests are genuine. In the next set, only one (the second chest in the middle-left) is real; the others are mimics. Opening the correct chest yields Astrites and other rewards, but be prepared to fight the mimic chests afterward.

Following the Knight's Trail

Next, visit two locations associated with the legendary knight, following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, a strange scent leads you to a unique Chop Chop enemy with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. A Questless Knight Echo is highly recommended for this fight, allowing you to parry and stun the Chop Chop. Mr. Millkeeper reveals the "legendary knight" was a fabrication.

Finding Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and find Carlow in a town plaza. He's confronted by knights. Carlow challenges one to a duel, abandoning the fantasy and embracing the true meaning of protection. The quest concludes after this challenge, rewarding you with Union XP, Astrites, and resources.
