Wild Rift Goes Cosmic with Patch 6.1 in Mid-April

By SkylarMay 03,2025

Get ready for an interstellar adventure as *LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars* is set to launch on April 16th, promising a cosmic overhaul that will transform your gaming experience. From revamped menus to a breathtaking battlefield, you'll be exploring the mystical Dual Nova galaxy, featuring the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star.

Three new champions are set to shake up the Wild Rift universe. Ryze, the Rune Mage, will unleash his powerful AoE damage and teleport allies with his signature Realm Warp. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives in chaos, using Paranoia to envelop enemies in darkness. And Zilean, the Chronokeeper, will bend time to his will, slowing down foes and reviving allies with Chronoshift.

Several champions are also getting significant reworks. Garen's Courage ability will now scale over time, boosting his tankiness, while his Judgment will be more effective at shredding enemy armor. Ambessa is transitioning from the jungle to the Baron lane with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Additionally, smaller tweaks are planned for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista.

Beyond champion updates, the Bandle-inspired Rift will add a whimsical twist to non-Ranked modes, introducing Enchanted Gifts that emerge through portals during the laning phase. Mages will also benefit from long-awaited item updates, including the new Bandle Fantasy item for extra burst damage, Hextech GLP800 for slowing enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance to enhance ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.

Ranked mode is not left behind, with a new season kicking off alongside the Challenger’s Star. Expect updates to the Ranked store and a streamlined way to earn seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, bringing AAAARAM—a fresh twist on ARAM with added augments and stunning galactic visuals.

The Wild Pass introduces two eye-catching skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus. Twisted Fate’s new look will debut an entirely new skinline, adding to the excitement.
