"Warzone Glitch Enables Old Camos on Black Ops 6 Guns"

Summary

  • A new glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone allows players to use Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) camos on Black Ops 6 (BO6) weapons.
  • The glitch requires a friend's assistance and specific steps to be followed in a private match of Warzone.
  • This method is unofficial and could be patched in future updates.

A Call of Duty: Warzone enthusiast has unearthed an exciting glitch that lets players apply camos from 2023's Modern Warfare 3 to weapons from Black Ops 6, sparking interest among the community who feel this should be a standard feature. Despite the continued availability of Modern Warfare 3 weapons in Warzone, the meta weapons predominantly hail from Treyarch Studios' latest addition, Black Ops 6. This shift means that the hard-earned MW3 camos are currently underutilized.

In the spirit of past Call of Duty titles, players are grinding Black Ops 6 to unlock those epic mastery camos. These camos, unlike weapon blueprints, are earned through in-game challenges without additional purchases. Players must achieve numerous headshots and complete various tiers—gold, diamond, and dark spine—across an array of weapons to unlock the prestigious dark matter camo. However, for those who have already achieved these milestones in Modern Warfare 3, their camos are now sidelined in Warzone since the launch of Black Ops 6. This new glitch might just breathe new life into those coveted designs.

Call of Duty: Warzone Player Discovers New Camo Glitch

For those who have unlocked a plethora of weapon camos in Modern Warfare 3, there's now a way to utilize them on Black Ops 6 weapons within Warzone. It's worth noting, however, that this method is not officially supported, and developers Treyarch Studios and Raven Software may address this glitch in upcoming updates. The technique was shared by Twitter user BSPGamin and highlighted by Dexerto.

This glitch requires teamwork, as you'll need a friend to help you out. Here's how you can pull it off:

  1. Start by launching a private match in Warzone.
  2. Equip a Black Ops 6 weapon in your first loadout slot, then join your friend's lobby.
  3. Switch to a Modern Warfare 3 weapon in the first loadout slot and rapidly select the camo you want to transfer.
  4. As you spam the camo selection, have your friend switch to a private match.
  5. Your friend should then leave the private match, and you need to go back to the weapon and continue spamming the camo selection while your friend rejoins another private match.

Once these steps are completed, the desired MW3 camo should appear on your BO6 weapon.

For those content with using Black Ops 6 camos and still working towards unlocking the mastery camos, there's good news on the horizon. Treyarch has confirmed they are developing a new challenge tracking feature for Black Ops 6. This feature, which was present in Modern Warfare 3 but missing from Black Ops 6 at launch, will allow players to monitor their progress more easily and is set to return in a future update.
