By AndrewApr 04,2025

In Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive's Wanderstop, players take on the role of Alta, a weary fighter who transitions to managing a serene tea shop nestled in a magical forest. As Alta focuses on rest and recovery, she encounters various customers with unique requests, including a surprising demand for coffee, which isn't typically on the menu. Here's a detailed guide on how to unlock and brew coffee in Wanderstop.

In the fourth cycle of Wanderstop, a stunning humanoid bird visits the shop, seeking a refined cup of tea. Following her visit, a trio of businessmen named Jerry, Larry, and Terry arrive, all dressed in suits and carrying briefcases. They are en route to a boardroom for a presentation but find themselves at the tea shop instead. Despite Alta's attempts to redirect them and offer tea, they insist on coffee, choosing to wait until it becomes available.

Boro, the tea shop's owner, explains that coffee has never grown in this forest, leaving Alta initially frustrated. The situation changes with the arrival of Zenith, an interdimensional figure fascinated by the businessmen. Unlike them, Zenith is willing to try Alta's tea, marking their first experience with a beverage other than coffee.

To unlock coffee beans, prepare a cup of tea for Zenith using a valuable item, such as a book, trinket, pot, mug, small plant, or photograph. After tasting the tea, Zenith becomes curious about the differences between tea and coffee and asks Alta what's needed to brew the latter. Alta's mention of "coffee beans" sparks an idea in Zenith, who then uses the Infinite Path to introduce coffee beans to the forest. These beans begin to grow in the clearing, and Zenith adds instructions for their harvesting and brewing to Alta's Field Guide.

How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in Wanderstop

Once Zenith summons them, coffee beans start growing wild in the clearing and respawn randomly. Harvest them similarly to fruits and seeds, and store them in your ingredients pocket or carry them by hand. You can also place them on shelves, tables, floors, or the ground outside.

Before brewing, coffee beans must be cleaned. Use the dishwasher to clean them, and they will be delivered to the tea room via dish trains.

To brew coffee, pour water into the tea maker and heat it as needed. Add a single coffee bean to the infuser, though customers might request additional beans or other ingredients. Activate the gear to pour the water over the bean, then transfer the brew into the kettle below and finally into mugs for serving to customers, Boro, or Alta herself.

Introducing coffee not only satisfies the businessmen but also delights Zenith and provides a new option for other customers. Even Boro is willing to give it a try, though he admits it's not to his taste.

That's how you unlock, harvest, and brew coffee in Wanderstop.

Wanderstop is available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam.
