For the first time ever, SEGA brings the acclaimed Virtua Fighter series to Steam with Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. This latest remaster builds upon the foundation of the 18-year-old Virtua Fighter 5, marking the fifth major iteration of the game. While a precise release date remains undisclosed, SEGA promises a winter launch.

SEGA proudly calls Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O the "ultimate remaster" of this 3D fighting classic. Key features include rollback netcode for smooth online battles, stunning 4K graphics with updated high-resolution textures, and a boosted 60fps framerate for unparalleled fluidity.

Returning favorites like Rank Match, Arcade, Training, and Versus modes are joined by exciting new additions: create custom online tournaments and leagues (up to 16 players!), and spectate matches to learn from the pros.

Earlier this month, an interview with VGC fueled speculation about a Virtua Fighter 6 announcement. SEGA's Justin Scarpone hinted at several legacy titles in development, including another Virtua Fighter project. However, the November 22nd Steam release of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O, complete with visual upgrades, new modes, and rollback netcode, surprised many.

A Classic Fighting Game Returns

Initially launched on SEGA Lindbergh arcades in July 2006, then ported to PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2007, Virtua Fighter 5 pitted 17 (later 19) fighters against each other in the Fifth World Fighting Tournament.
