Genshin Impact 5.0 Update Leaks: New Dendro DPS Character Revealed
A recent leak reveals details about a new five-star Dendro DPS character coming in Genshin Impact's highly anticipated 5.0 update, which will introduce the Natlan region. This update is a major event for the community, bringing new areas, characters, weapons, and storylines. Natlan, known as the Pyro nation and associated with warfare, is ruled by the Pyro Archon, Murata, also called the God of War.
The leaked information, from leaker Uncle K, describes a male Claymore-wielding Dendro character whose abilities center around the Bloom and Burning elemental reactions. Bloom (Dendro + Hydro) creates explosive Dendro Cores, while Burning (Dendro + Pyro) applies a Damage over Time (DoT) effect. This makes him the first five-star Dendro Claymore user.
Community Concerns Regarding Burning Reaction
The reliance on the Burning reaction raises concerns among players, as it's generally considered less effective than other Dendro reactions. This contrasts with the upcoming four-star Dendro support character, Emilie (Update 4.8), initially designed around Burning but later buffed for greater team versatility.
Confirmed and Rumored Characters
Currently, the only confirmed addition to the roster is Natlan's Pyro Archon, whose debut is still pending. More Natlan characters may be revealed in the Special Program event for update 4.8 (around July 5th). Leaks also suggest Columbina, the Third Fatui Harbinger, will be the main antagonist of the Natlan arc, a powerful Cryo user anticipated to arrive in 2025.
