Is the Universe Really for Sale?
Set on a Jupiter space station, the game unfolds in a bizarre, acid-rain-soaked bazaar. Orangutans with sharp wit and cultists bartering flesh for enlightenment populate this strange marketplace. The universe itself is for sale, thanks to Lila, a woman with the unique ability to create universes from her hand.
The game begins in a mining colony shantytown, where you play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment. Exploring the ramshackle colony, you eventually encounter Honin's Tea House, Lila's shop, and her enigmatic nature slowly unravels as you shift between her perspective and the Master's.
Playing as Lila involves a mini-game of universe creation, mixing ingredients to produce visually stunning worlds. The Master's storyline delves into the philosophies of the Cult of Detachment and interactions with the Church of Many Gods.
The narrative unfolds gradually, prompting speculation about the overarching mystery. Each character, whether human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, and the richly detailed world encourages thorough exploration.
