Subnautica Mobile Pre-registration Now Open

Subnautica is making its long-awaited debut on mobile devices. First launched for PC and Mac in 2018, this deep-sea survival adventure quickly became a critically acclaimed title. Subsequent releases followed for PlayStation, Xbox, and next-generation consoles, alongside a sequel and a spin-off.

When Is Subnautica Landing on Mobile?

The official Android launch is set for July 8th, 2025. Publisher Unknown Worlds has released a new trailer showcasing the game's visuals on mobile, which appear impressively sharp. We hope the performance matches the polished look.

For newcomers, here’s a brief overview. You assume the role of Ryley Robinson, the sole survivor of the starship Aurora's crash landing. Stranded on the ocean planet 4546B, your survival depends on managing food, water, and oxygen while crafting essential tools and shelter.

The core loop involves constructing submarines and underwater bases while avoiding the planet's diverse—and often dangerous—fauna. An intriguing narrative mystery unfolds as you explore, with scattered clues revealing the planet's past and a potential path to escape.

You Can Pre-Register Now

Developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment, Subnautica is a first-person, open-world experience. Players can engage with the full challenge of Survival mode or opt for the relaxed exploration of Freedom or Creative modes.

The mobile version features a fully redesigned touchscreen interface with optional controller support. Android users benefit from Google Play Games integration for achievements and cloud saves, allowing seamless progress across devices.

Pre-registrations are currently open on the Google Play Store. The game is priced at $8.99.
