Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show Adaptation

Ubisoft has officially confirmed to Game File the cancellation of the live-action Driver series. Initially announced in 2021 for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, the project aimed to "bring our games to life in new and exciting ways," according to Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik. The collaboration ended due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a movie-related subsidiary, in January. A Ubisoft spokesperson stated, "We are no longer moving forward with our partnership with Binge for a Driver series."

However, Ubisoft has emphasized its continued commitment to the Driver franchise, confirming that it is "actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise." While specifics remain undisclosed, Ubisoft promises future announcements. Stay tuned for further updates on the future of Driver!
