Order 66: Top Jedi Survivors Ranked

By EricDec 22,2025

This month celebrates the 20th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the climactic finale of the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Originally released on May 19, 2005, this marked George Lucas's final directorial involvement before Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm in 2012.

While audiences knew Revenge of the Sith would depict Anakin Skywalker's transformation into Darth Vader, a lingering question remained: what became of the entire Jedi Order? The film answered this with Order 66, Palpatine's masterstroke that turned clone troopers against their Jedi generals during the Clone Wars. With thousands of Jedi serving at the time, logic dictated some would evade execution – beyond those required to survive for Original Trilogy continuity.

Among the dozens of Order 66 survivors introduced in canon Star Wars lore, we've ranked the 10 most impactful. Some survived only briefly while others endured much longer – with a few fates still unknown. Regardless, each Jedi outlived Palpatine's infamous command.

Selection Criteria: To qualify, characters must have been officially recognized by the Jedi Order before Order 66, regardless of rank (Padawan, Knight, Master, or Initiate). This excludes unaffiliated Force-sensitives like Maul or Palpatine, or untrained individuals like Jod Na Nawood who never entered Jedi service.

Some debate surrounded Asajj Ventress's inclusion. Though trained as a Padawan by Jedi Ky Narec during their 20-year exile on Rattatak, she never visited Coruscant or interacted with the Jedi Council before becoming Dooku's Sith apprentice. Consider her an honorable mention.
