It has been seven years since the war concluded, and an inner urge drives Nico to rekindle these bonds. The comrades he seeks are Ferruccio, Doug, and Roy.

The narrative delicately unravels Nico's emotions and memories. As a child, Nico was reserved, preferring the company of books to people, often lost in his own imagination. The war, however, thrust him into a harsh reality where his small stature and uniqueness made him a target for bullying and isolation. Yet, Nico found solace and resilience in writing.
