Pokémon Go's summer festivities will roll into Europe with a massive red truck touring seven major cities, starting in the UK next month.
European Road Trip Kicks Off in Manchester
The tour begins its journey in Manchester before making stops in London, Paris, Valencia, Berlin, Den Haag (Netherlands), and concluding in Cologne just as Gamescom begins.
Attendees visiting the truck locations will enjoy exclusive perks including increased spawns of Phanphy, Venipede, and Wooloo with enhanced Shiny odds, along with special raids featuring summer-themed Pikachu outfits and potential Location Background rewards. Completing Timed Research will reward players with the engine-inspired Pokémon Varoom — plus the chance to see the iconic red Pokémon Go truck in person.
Enhanced Gameplay Across Host Cities
Throughout each host city, players will benefit from extended 3-hour Lure Modules and up to 5 Special Trades daily. Nationwide Timed Research will also become available, offering the same summer Pikachu costume to all players in celebration of the Road Trip event.
This announcement follows Pokémon Go's recent controversial $20 event pass that introduces the game's first Golden Bottle Cap - an item that maxes out a Pokémon's IVs to perfect 100% stats.
