"Stellar Mercenaries Unveils Jupiter Expansion in Space Shooter Game"

Stellar Mercenaries has just launched an exciting new upgrade that takes the action to the largest planet in our solar system. The Jupiter Expansion nearly doubles the game's content, introducing more worlds, enemies, and missions to explore.

For those new to the game, Stellar Mercenaries is a thrilling vertical-scrolling action arcade space shooter. Players undertake procedurally generated missions, customize their ships and weapons, and aim to become the most feared mercenary across the solar system.

What’s New in the Jupiter Expansion of Stellar Mercenaries?

The Jupiter Expansion transforms Jupiter and its notable moons—Ganymede, Io, and Europa—into new battlegrounds. Each moon presents unique challenges: Ganymede is a barren wasteland, Io is covered in volcanic debris, and Europa is a frozen and treacherous landscape. Meanwhile, Jupiter itself is full of raging storms, making it a formidable arena.

The expansion introduces two new factions: the Jovian Empire, a powerful military force aiming to control the region, and the Pirate Council, a chaotic alliance of outlaws.

Players can dive into 50 new missions with diverse objectives. These include hyperspace hunting to track elusive targets, piracy missions, escort missions, and train defense missions, offering a variety of gameplay experiences.

The update also brings six new ships to the fleet: the Raider, Goblin, Mako, Boxer, Lightning, and Skybreaker. Additionally, the arsenal expands with new weapons like the Hyper Velocity Mortar, Plasma Seeker, EMP Rockets, Mauler Cannon, Electron Beam, and Neutron Beam.

There Are New Hazards, Shields and More

The expansion enhances the game with Tier 4 shields and armor. New hazards such as asteroid fields, elite enemy squadrons, and the Pacifier add to the challenge. Some enemy mercenaries have been upgraded, introducing the new Nightmare, Riot, and Warhawk classes, making battles even more intense.
