As the holiday season approaches, Shift Up is infusing Xion with festive cheer starting December 17. Get into the spirit with new Christmas-themed costumes, decorations, and a mini-game.

Eve and other characters will don new holiday outfits, bursting with vibrant colors and festive touches. The character outfits available include:

⚫︎ Santa Dress (Eve)
⚫︎ Rudolph Pack (Drone)
⚫︎ I’m No Santa (Adam)

Enhance Eve's festive look with the Santa Girl hairstyle, and accessorize with Snow Crystal Glasses, Wreath Earrings, and Sleigh Ear Cuffs.

Xion, the last bastion of humanity, will be transformed into a warm, festive haven adorned with twinkling lights and decorations in red, green, and white. The Last Gulp and Eve’s camp will also embrace the holiday spirit, featuring seasonal BGM tracks like “Dawn (Winter)” and “Take me away” to create a soothing atmosphere that eases the tension from daily battles.

In addition to the holiday decor, a new mini-game will be introduced in Xion. While specifics are still under wraps, it appears that players will shoot targets on a festive drone to win special rewards for Eve.

Turn On or Off Stellar Blade's Seasonal Contents

The update introduces a new feature allowing players to toggle seasonal events, including the Nier:Automata DLC. Navigate to the game's Settings, find Gameplay, and adjust the Seasonal Event Content setting to your preference. You have three options:

⚫︎ Auto - automatically adjusts seasonal content based on the current season
⚫︎ Disable - turns off seasonal content regardless of the season
⚫︎ Enabled - keeps seasonal content active regardless of the season

This flexibility lets players enjoy seasonal content at their leisure, though changing the setting will require the game to restart from the latest save.

Mostly Well-Received, But Not Everyone Is Happy

Following the announcement on PlayStation's Twitter (X) on December 16, the majority of fans expressed excitement over the update. Many playfully dubbed Eve "Christmas Eve," blending the holiday spirit with the protagonist's name. The community also appreciated Shift Up's commitment to regular seasonal updates.

However, some fans raised concerns. One fan commented, “I don’t mind at all but why does Stellar Blade have so many event updates? Just doesn’t seem like the type of game.” Others were frustrated with the need to restart the game to access the seasonal content.

Unlike games with multiplayer and highly replayable content, Stellar Blade is a single-player experience that can be completed in about 30 hours. This brevity means players must restart the game to fully engage with its seasonal offerings, as there's little to do post-story completion.
