Stardew Valley Update 1.6 Is Coming To Mobile This November!

Stardew Valley's highly anticipated 1.6 update is finally arriving on mobile devices on November 4th, 2024! Console and mobile players can rejoice after months of waiting, as this massive update—originally released on PC in March 2024—is finally here.

What's New in Stardew Valley Update 1.6 Mobile?

This update significantly expands the Stardew Valley experience. The biggest change? Online multiplayer now supports up to eight players, doubling the previous capacity for collaborative farming, fishing, and building. Two brand-new fishing festivals, the Trout Derby and SquidFest, join the seasonal event roster, alongside the Desert Festival.

A fresh farm layout, the Meadowlands Farm, offers a perfect blend of livestock raising and fishing opportunities. Over 100 new NPC dialogue options enrich interactions with the town's beloved residents.

Prepare for a wealth of new items! The Big Chest (nearly twice the size of a standard chest), a dehydrator for preserving produce, a heavy furnace, and a bait maker for crafting specialized fish lures are just a few highlights.

Customization options abound with new furniture styles and over 25 new hats. Complete quests and festival events to earn prize tickets, redeemable at a prize machine located in Lewis' house.

After maxing out your initial pet's affection, you can now have multiple pets, each potentially bringing gifts! And yes, you can even put hats on them! You'll also notice NPCs sporting winter attire.

A golden Joja parrot assists in locating elusive golden walnuts on Ginger Island. New crops include carrots, summer squash, broccoli, powdermelon, and two giant crop varieties.

Reason for the Delay?

The delay in releasing the 1.6 update for mobile and consoles allowed the developers to thoroughly test the update on PC, ensuring a smoother launch and minimizing bugs. Now, in November, you can dive into the expanded fishing events, bond with your new pets, and cultivate new crops.
