Saber Interactive has officially confirmed that all of its previously announced titles remain in active development, despite the noticeable lack of updates surrounding some of its most anticipated releases—most notably, the *Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic* remake.
In a recent tweet, Saber Interactive’s Chief Creative Officer, Tim Willits, took to social media to reassure fans and address concerns regarding the status of the studio's upcoming projects. “Saber Interactive is one of the largest independent developers in the world,” he stated. “We are working on numerous games across many different genres. Everything that we have talked about is still in development. We will share information on upcoming games when we have something cool to share.”

Tim Willits’ comments come as one of the most anticipated—and longest-awaited—titles under Saber’s portfolio continues to linger in development limbo: the *Star Wars: KOTOR* remake. Originally announced in 2021, the project has gone through multiple transitions, including changes in development teams and publishing partners. Despite years passing and little tangible progress shown, Saber remains committed to delivering the title.
In April 2024, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch confirmed that the *KOTOR* remake moved with the company following its separation from Embracer Group, and that development was ongoing. “It's clear and it's obvious that we're working on this,” Karch said. “It's been in the press numerous times. What I will say is that the game is alive and well, and we're dedicated to making sure we exceed consumer expectations.”
Willits’ statement, made nearly a year later, serves as a reaffirmation of that commitment. However, despite these assurances, the only glimpse the public has had of the remake remains its original announcement trailer.
Beyond *KOTOR*, Saber Interactive continues work on several other high-profile titles set for future release. Among them are *John Carpenter's Toxic Commando* and *Jurassic Park Survival*, both currently slated for 2025—though neither has received a firm release date yet. The studio is also developing a brand-new *Turok* reboot and an untitled *Avatar: The Last Airbender* game.
The latest addition to Saber’s growing lineup is *Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3*. With more details expected soon, be sure to check out IGN’s breakdown of which chapters and enemy factions could appear in the game.
