GSC Gameworld has outlined two major focuses for the upcoming updates: the Beta Mod SDK Kit and enhancements to the A-Life system. A closed beta with mod makers will precede the release of the ModKit, allowing for thorough testing. The developers also plan to integrate Mod.io and Steam Workshop, enhancing the modding experience.

The A-Life system, a core component of STALKER 2's gameplay, will receive further updates to improve NPC AI and simulation. Building on last year's efforts, which culminated in a substantial 110 GB Christmas patch, the developers will introduce "persistent A-Life improvements" and "smarter human combat; better cover/flanking use, limited grenades."

Additionally, a next-gen update for the original STALKER trilogy is on the horizon. More details about these updates will be shared as their release dates approach.
