Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, this marks the end of a four-year run for the global release.
Two Months Remain
In-app purchases and Google Play Points exchanges have already ceased. The global game launched in June 2020, and despite positive aspects like its visuals, audio, and generous gacha system, it received mixed player feedback.
The global version lagged behind its Japanese counterpart, notably missing significant content updates such as Solistia and 6-star unit upgrades—content available in Japan for nearly a year. This content gap contributed to player dissatisfaction and ultimately influenced the decision to shut down the global servers.
Community Reflections
Square Enix has closed several mobile titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games. Romancing SaGa Re:universe joins this list.
This traditional turn-based RPG, based on the classic SaGa franchise, offers players two months left to enjoy its gameplay. Download it from the Google Play Store and experience this final chapter.
