Spider-Man Decks Dominate Marvel Snap

Peni Parker, the latest Marvel Rivals themed card in Marvel Snap, arrives after Galacta and Luna Snow. Fans of the Spider-Verse films will recognize this ramp card, but with a unique twist.

Understanding Peni Parker in Marvel Snap

Peni Parker costs 2 energy and boasts 3 power. Her ability reads: "On Reveal: Add SP//dr to your hand. When this merges, you get +1 Energy next turn."

SP//dr, a 3-cost, 3-power card, has the ability: "On Reveal: Merge with one of your cards here. You can move that card next turn."

This card combination can be initially confusing. Essentially, Peni Parker adds SP//dr to your hand, allowing board manipulation. Crucially, merging any card with Peni Parker grants +1 energy for your next turn. This isn't limited to SP//dr; cards like Hulk Buster and Agony also trigger this bonus.

The SP//dr movement ability is a one-time effect, usable only the turn after merging.

Top Peni Parker Decks in Marvel Snap

Mastering Peni Parker takes time. Her 5-energy merge effect, while powerful, is expensive. However, she synergizes well with certain cards, notably Wiccan. Consider these deck examples:

Deck 1 (Wiccan Synergy):

Quicksilver, Fenris Wolf, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, Peni Parker, Quake, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Red Guardian, Gladiator, Shang-Chi, Wiccan, Gorr the God Butcher, Alioth.

This deck is flexible, allowing for card substitutions based on your meta and collection. The core strategy involves playing Quicksilver, followed by a 2-cost card (ideally Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, or Peni Parker) to set up Wiccan's effect. This enables powerful late-game plays with Gorr and Alioth.

Deck 2 (Scream Move Strategy):

Agony, Kingpin, Kraven, Peni Parker, Scream, Juggernaut, Polaris, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Spider-Man, Cannonball, Alioth, Magneto.

This deck utilizes board manipulation to control lanes, leveraging Kraven and Scream. Peni Parker's merge bonus allows for playing both Alioth and Magneto in a single game. This deck requires advanced strategic thinking.

Is Peni Parker Worth the Investment?

Currently, Peni Parker's value is questionable. While a generally strong card, her impact isn't currently game-changing in the Marvel Snap meta. Her cost and reliance on specific synergies may not justify the investment of Collector's Tokens or Spotlight Cache Keys. However, her potential will likely increase as the game evolves.
